Every aspect of the design process, from sketch book to final stitch is overseen by sisters Melinda and Narina Janian, who relish the opportunity to work with local makers and manufacturers to create quality garments.
The eponymous label is the result of years spent studying and working in the Australian fashion industry. Melinda studied and graduated in fashion design at Sydney’s Whitehouse Institute and worked as a magazine stylist before launching her own label melinda & narina with younger sister and business manager & social psychologist, Narina.
The sisters are proud of their Australian Armenian heritage. The label’s pomegranate logo was inspired by the Armenian tradition that each pomegranate has 365 seeds to sustain life through each day of the year. melinda & narina aims to be just as satisfying as its emblem by offering beautiful designs for all seasons.
